NARROW ROWS DEMAND COMPACT EQUIPMENT
Why berry farms need mulching
Modern berry farms run on tight 1.0–2.5m row spacings. Standard slashers and flail mowers don't fit — they clip canes, damage drip lines, and miss the under-row zone.
Spent raspberry floricanes carry spur blight and Botrytis through winter. Old blueberry plants harbour Phomopsis. Inter-row weed pressure compounds the disease load.

Compact frames, low HP
TMC Cancela's TP and TPS mount to 40–90 HP tractors already on the farm. The narrow frame passes through tight rows without contact. The TPS side-shift reaches under canopy edges.

Clean rows = lower disease pressure
Spur blight (Didymella applanata), cane Botrytis, and Phomopsis all overwinter in dead cane material. Mulching destroys the structure these pathogens need.
Fine shredded material decomposes through winter. Spore loads at bud break drop accordingly.

Inter-row weed control without herbicides
Continuous inter-row management with the TP or TPS keeps grasses and broadleaf weeds suppressed across the season — fewer chemical passes and a cleaner picking environment.
