Why brigalow demands mulching
Acacia harpophylla regrowth dominates cleared land across the brigalow belt of QLD and NSW. Wood density 750–850 kg/m³. Sucker response from intact root crowns produces dense thickets within 2–3 years.

Mulcher + sub-soiler combination
A TMC Cancela mulcher grinds the visible regrowth. The MPS or MPK sub-soiler then mills the root crown below the suckering zone. Combined, the regrowth response collapses.
Pasture establishment in the mulch
The brigalow belt sits on fertile cracking clays. Once the regrowth pressure is lifted, sown buffel, green panic, and Rhodes grass establish rapidly through the mulch layer.

Heavy machines for heavy wood
Brigalow's hardwood demands forestry-class equipment. The TFS2, TFK, TFX, and the THK excavator handle the wood density without derating. Lighter mulchers stall on the basal section of established suckers.
