Why pineapple beds demand mulching
Pineapple (Ananas comosus) plants carry rigid serrated leaves up to 1m long and a woody central stem. The plant tissue is high in lignin and silica — slow to decompose, hard on equipment.

Heavy-duty hammers for tough material
The TGS and TGI carry heavy-duty hammers rated for cane-class fibrous material. Pineapple tops, central stems, and basal crowns reduce to fine residue in one pass.
Nutrient return to beds
Pineapple residue is high in potassium and organic matter. Mulched in place, it returns directly to the planting bed for the next crop.
