Why Acacia demands mulching
1,000+ Acacia species grow across Australia. Dozens choke pasture and bushland.
Stems run from 20mm saplings to 400mm+ mature trunks. Black wattle, silver wattle, green wattle, mulga — every problem species coppices and seeds prolifically.
Each plant drops thousands of hard-coated seeds that stay viable in soil for 20–50+ years. Fire or ground disturbance wakes the entire seed bank.

Chainsaws make it worse
