BLACKBERRY HOLDS YOUR PADDOCK
Why blackberry demands mulching
Rubus fruticosus aggregates form impenetrable thickets along creeks, gullies, and fence lines. Birds spread seeds widely. Each plant produces hundreds of viable seeds per fruit.

Slashers and flail mowers wrap on the long, thorny canes. The drum stalls or the canes whip back and damage the operator.
Fixed-hammer drum design
TMC Cancela's fixed-hammer drum cuts cleanly through canes without wrapping. The whole plant — canes, root crown, fallen fruit — exits as fine mulch.

Blackberry Excavator Reach L

Steep terrain via excavator-mount

Blackberry concentrates where slope, water, and shelter combine — creek banks, gullies, drainage lines. Tractors can't reach these zones safely.

Excavator-mounted heads (THE, THB) work from firm ground above. The boom reaches into the gully without driving the carrier through the thicket.
Blackberry Mulch Blanket Suppression R
Mulch suppresses the seed bank
Blackberry seeds remain viable in soil for years. The mulch blanket left by a TMC Cancela head blocks light to germinating seedlings — a passive second-line defence on top of the mechanical kill.
