PRUNING WASTE CHOKES TROPICAL ROWS
Why lychee orchards need mulching
Lychee (Litchi chinensis) wood is hard — 600–700 kg/m³. Annual pruning generates branches up to 80mm at the base of major cuts.
Subtropical QLD and northern NSW conditions mean inter-row vegetation grows continuously. Without management, weeds compete for water and harbour pests.

Process tropical pruning volumes
The TGS, TGI, and TGH process the heavier branches that orchard shredders alone can't handle. The TOK and TOX shred standard pruning at speed across larger blocks.

Year-round inter-row control
The TP and TPS handle continuous inter-row management cycles. Side-shift on the TPS reaches under canopy edges where vegetation concentrates first.
Continuous mulching keeps the orchard floor open for fruit drop, picking access, and pest scouting throughout the season.

Organic matter on-site
Mulched pruning waste returns nitrogen, potassium, and trace elements to the root zone. No off-site cartage. No disposal fees. The same material that was a waste problem becomes a soil-feeding asset.
