Macadamia Mulcher
One Pass. Floor Clean.
TMC Cancela mulchers prepare a clean floor for mechanical sweep harvest. Husk spot stopped.
- Clears pruning for mechanical sweep
- Eliminates husk spot harbourage
- Decomposes 3–4x faster than intact wood
- Maintains short, even inter-row sward

MECHANICAL HARVEST DEMANDS A CLEAN FLOOR
Why macadamia orchards need mulching
Macadamia harvest runs on mechanical sweepers and pickup harvesters that collect nuts directly from the ground. The orchard floor must be flat, even, and free of debris.
Pruning waste blocks sweepers, contaminates the harvested crop, and harbours husk spot disease (Pseudocercospora macadamiae) on dead branches.

Decomposition 3–4x faster
Shredded pruning material decomposes 3–4x faster than intact branches. Fine residue settles flat against the soil for clean sweeper access at harvest.

Husk spot inoculum reduced
Husk spot overwinters on dead pruning wood. Mulching destroys the structure the pathogen needs to persist between seasons.
Lower carry-over inoculum at flowering means lower spray pressure and cleaner husks at harvest.

Inter-row sward management
The TP and TPS maintain short, even inter-row swards across the season. Sweepers run cleanly. Pickup harvesters collect efficiently. Pickers move freely through the orchard.
