Stone Fruit Mulcher
One Pass. Brown Rot Stopped.
TMC Cancela mulchers destroy mummified fruit and dead wood that breed Monilinia. Spring infection cut at source.
- Destroys mummified fruit on the ground
- Processes annual training and renovation cuts
- Manages inter-row water competition
- Removes blocks at 15–20 years

TMC CANCELA has more than 40 years of excellence and innovation

BROWN ROT OVERWINTERS ON THE FLOOR
Why stone fruit orchards need mulching
Peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines, and apricots all suffer brown rot (Monilinia laxa, M. fructicola). The fungus overwinters on mummified fruit and dead pruning wood on the orchard floor.
Spring rain releases conidia onto blossoms. Blossom blight kills flowers. Fruit rot follows on developing fruit.

Floor sanitation = lower spore load
Mulching pruning waste and mummified fruit destroys the overwintering structure. Fewer spores at bloom. Lower spray pressure across the season.

Block renovation every 15–20 years
Stone fruit blocks last 15–25 years before yields decline and varieties go out of fashion. End-of-life removal means processing trunks at 100–200mm.
The TMH semi-forestry mulcher handles whole-tree renovation. Trunk, branches, and root crown go to ground residue in one pass. No cartage. No burning.

Inter-row water competition
Stone fruit grows in the Murray-Darling Basin where every megalitre is allocated. Inter-row weeds steal water from the trees.
Continuous mulching with the TP or TPS keeps the floor clean across the season. More water reaches the trees.
